Aggie is very eager to explore on her walks, and can pull on the lead. Due to her size, this is manageable but her new family would benefit from working on loose lead walking when she is in her new home.Aggie has the potential to learn very quickly. She is very food orientated and responds wonderfully to positive rewards based training, she therefore would benefit from an owner who can continue with her training with kindness and consistency. Aggie can be cautious around new people and situations. She’ll need slow, patient introductions to unfamiliar faces. However, once she warms up, Aggie has the potential to be a loyal and affectionate companion. Aggie will need her new owner to be around the majority of the day initially, while she gets familiar with her surroundings and routine, but leaving hours can slowly be introduced once she is settled. If you’re looking for a lively, loving dog who will keep you on your toes, Aggie might just be the perfect match for you!Thank you for being interested in giving one of our dogs a loving home.To register your interest in adoption please fill out our adoption form here

Demi is a handsome Romanian boy with a very sweet character, looking for a special home where he can truly thrive.Rescued in June 2021 along with two other dogs, from the streets in Romania, Demi has come a long way but still needs a bit of extra love and patience. Due to his background, Demi struggles to trust new people, so he requires an owner who understands the importance of a gradual introduction process. We’ll take things at his pace, which means multiple meetings with any potential adopters to ensure he feels comfortable and safe. Demi is best suited to a semi-rural environment, away from the hustle and bustle of a built up area. He would thrive in an adult-only, quiet and calm home where he is the only pet in the household. Demi requires a home with a safe and secure garden with boundaries of 6ft in height. Demi walks well on a harness and lead, making outings enjoyable. He has successfully completed a muzzle training program, allowing him to explore confidently and safely. Once Demi bonds with you, he shows an incredible affectionate side. He has the potential to be a loyal and devoted companion for the right person. This was recently concreted when a regular volunteer who visits Demi, at the sanctuary, offered to have him in her home, on a temporary foster basis. We jumped at the opportunity as, to our knowledge, Demi had not encountered a home environment ever before. Demi certainly proved himself as the most amazing dog, we knew he was during his time in foster. Our volunteer described him as “the most perfect house guest” and said his time with her, in her home “exceeded every exception I had of him as he took to being in a home like a duck to water, he was literally no trouble at all, and was an absolute pleasure to have around. And everything else was really manageable with a bit of forethought.” If you have a calm, understanding home and are ready to invest time in building a trusting relationship, Demi would love to meet you and start his journey to a happy forever home.

Sadly, her previous experiences have left her carrying a great deal of emotional trauma, and she understandably finds it difficult to trust new people. When meeting someone for the first time, Ember is very clear in showing that she feels worried and cautious. It is incredibly important that she is never pushed beyond her comfort zone during introductions. Ember will need several calm and patient meets with any potential adopters before she begins to feel safe and relaxed around them. Building trust with Ember takes time, but for those willing to invest that patience, the reward is truly special. Once you become one of Ember’s trusted people, her wonderful personality begins to shine through. She forms incredibly strong bonds with her carers and greets those she loves with the sweetest full-body wiggles. Ember is affectionate, loyal, and always seeking reassurance and fuss from her favourite humans. Ember is highly food motivated, which has been a huge help in both her introductions and ongoing training plan. Positive reinforcement and reward-based training will be essential for her new owners to continue building her confidence and helping her feel secure in the world around her. It’s evident that Ember missed out on vital early socialisation, meaning she can find the big wide world quite overwhelming at times. However, during her time with us at the sanctuary, she has made incredible progress thanks to patience, understanding, and consistency from the kennel team. She now has several handlers she feels comfortable and relaxed with, and watching her confidence slowly grow has been so rewarding. Ember particularly enjoys spending time in the training paddock, where she loves engaging in toy play and interacting with her canine friends, often trying to entice them into a fun game of chase! We are searching for a calm, adult-only, feline-free home for Ember with patient and understanding adopters who can continue supporting her emotional needs and confidence-building journey. A safe and secure garden with 6ft boundaries will be important for her. For the right people, Ember will be an incredibly loving and devoted companion. Beneath her worried exterior is a gentle girl who simply needs kindness, time, and the chance to finally feel safe. Despite her difficult start, Holly’s spirit is wonderfully bright, and she is already showing just how special she truly is.Since arriving with us, Holly has spent time in a loving foster home, where we’ve been able to learn all about her personality, her needs, and what will help her thrive in her forever home. She’s now ready to begin the next chapter of her life with a family of her own.In foster, Holly proved to be a devoted little shadow, happily following her carer from room to room with gentle curiosity. She loves being part of the action and simply enjoys knowing what her people are up to. True to her Labrador roots, Holly is very food-motivated and thoroughly enjoys her mealtimes!Holly is fully housetrained and will let you know when she needs to go outside. She has also been gradually introduced to being left alone and is currently comfortable for up to three hours. She is a friendly and affectionate girl who enjoys fuss and attention, and she handles grooming and general handling very well. Holly forms strong bonds quickly and clearly wants to please the people she cares about.Although Holly is a senior, she still has plenty of energy, strength, and enthusiasm for life. She enjoys playtime and enrichment activities like sniffy games, but she can sometimes become a little over-stimulated. When this happens, her strength can show, so her adopters will need to help her stay within her comfort levels and recognise when she’s had enough.Holly is comfortable wearing a harness and enjoys going out for walks, although these can sometimes feel overwhelming for her. During these moments, she may use her strength to pull on the lead, so she would benefit from short, calm walks in familiar areas where shefeels safe and secure. Alternatively, Holly is just as happy taking part in training games or scent work in the garden, which can provide just as much enrichment as a walk while helping her remain relaxed and comfortable. She is a real homebody and is at her most content spending time in the garden with her people, searching for hidden items or enjoying a short game of fetch or tug, before heading indoors for a well-earned snooze. She greets visitors with confidence, reflecting her friendly and sociable nature. Holly can travel in the car, although she may be a little restless during journeys for now.Holly already knows some basic commands and is eager to continue learning with her new family.Holly’s ideal home would be a calm, understanding environment where she can truly relax and feel safe. A pet-free home is essential, allowing her to enjoy the full love and attention of her owners. She would thrive with patient adopters who are willing to take the time to understand her needs and help guide her gently as she settles into home life.A safe and secure, quiet garden is also important for Holly, with solid boundaries of at least 6ft, giving her a space where she can enjoy enrichment, play, and downtime without becoming overwhelmed. If there are children in the home, they will need to be aged 12 or over and dog-savvy, able to respect Holly’s space and understand her needs. After everything she has been through, Holly truly deserves a home filled with kindness, comfort, and companionship. In return, she will offer unwavering loyalty, warmth, and a joyful presence. If you’re looking to give a deserving senior girl the loving retirement she’s been waiting for, Holly could be the perfect companion. Date of Birth 2020 estBreed LurcherSex FemaleCan live with cats NoCan live with dogs Yes, could potentially live with another high energy dog that loves to playCan live with younger children NoCan live with older children 10+Neutered YesVaccinated YesMicrochipped Yes Willow is a beautiful female lurcher who came into our care as an unclaimed stray via the dog warden. When she arrived, she was underweight and very timid, but thanks to the love and patience she’s received at the sanctuary, she has made truly incredible progress. Now estimated to be around 5 years old, Willow is thriving – steadily gaining weight and growing in confidence every single day.Initially shy and reserved, Willow has blossomed into a lively, affectionate girl with a gentle soul. She can still be a little wary around unfamiliar people, but a calm approach and a few tasty treats work wonders. Before long, she’ll be leaning in for fuss and soaking up all the affection she can get.Willow absolutely adores other dogs and has a real zest for play. She’s always trying to instigate games and would be happiest sharing her home with another high-energy dog who enjoys having a playful companion. Out on walks, she may sometimes be vocal when she spots other dogs, but this comes purely from excitement and frustration as she’d love nothing more than to say hello and start a game!A very food-motivated girl, Willow will benefit from ongoing basic training in her new home once she’s fully settled. She walks beautifully on a harness and lead, complete with an adorable prancing strut that never fails to make her handlers smile. Due to her strong prey drive, Willow is not suitable for off-lead walking and will need a safe, secure garden with 6ft boundaries where she can enjoy zoomies and explore freely. As with other sighthounds, Willow has undergone a successful muzzle-training programme and is now comfortable wearing her muzzle while out and about. Her new owner will be required to continue this practice to help keep Willow and other animals safe.Willow was lucky enough to enjoy a short “sleepover” foster stay with one of our wonderful regular volunteers, giving us valuable insight into how she copes in a home environment. She showed herself to be everything we hoped for – housetrained, polite, playful, and able to settle in her bed when asked. She travelled calmly in the car and was an absolute joy to have around. Our volunteer shared:“For every ounce of love shared with Willow, she will return it 10 times over. It was an utter pleasure to see this timid and kind girl come to life in a home environment. From discovering all the toys were hers, to zoomies in the garden and curling up on the sofa beside you, Willow kept me smiling and laughing in equal measure.”Willow has a sweet, affectionate nature and forms strong bonds with those she trusts. She would be best suited to a calm, patient home where any children are aged 10 or over. If you’re looking for a charming, spirited companion who simply needs a little understanding and a lot of love, Willow could be the perfect match.
