Her new home will need to be mindful of this, ensuring she stays cool, avoids excessive exercise in heat, and is monitored for any signs of breathing distress.Bonnie enjoys her walks and playtime but doesn’t require excessive exercise. He’s an incredibly friendly boy who loves everyone he meets and has been getting on really well with the other dogs at the centre—especially his friend Red, as he’s always keen to initiate play!Bruce is still very much a big puppy and can be quite boisterous, so he will need ongoing training and guidance to help him channel his energy in the right way. He absolutely loves spending time in the free run pen where he can burn off some of that enthusiasm.He’s a treat-orientated boy, which will be a great advantage when it comes to training. That said, he doesn’t always pick things up straight away—bless him—so he’ll need a patient and understanding owner who is willing to put the time into helping him learn and develop at his own pace.Bruce hasn’t quite mastered the art of fetch yet. When you throw a ball, he tends to look a little puzzled as if wondering where it’s gone, which only adds to his charm .He has previously lived with two female dogs, although this could be a little challenging at times. We believe this may have been due to him being neutered later, with hormones likely playing a role in some pushy behaviour. He is now neutered.Bruce is a fun-loving, affectionate young dog who will thrive in an active home that can offer him plenty of exercise, structure, and continued training. We feel this is likely due to her currently being in season, with her hormones affecting her behaviour. Once she is neutered, this should help her to settle. Darla will benefit from continued, positive socialisation with other dogs to help her build appropriate interactions and confidence.Darla will need a home that can provide her with regular exercise and ongoing training to help her continue developing into a well-rounded companion. She responds well to kindness and consistency, and with the right guidance, she will thrive.She cannot live with cats but could live with children aged 10 years and over who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs.Darla is a loving, gentle girl with so much to give, and she will make a wonderful companion for the right family.

She arrived with us via ambulance and, sadly, was unable to return to her previous home. Initially, Porsche found the change overwhelming and was very frightened, but with time, patience, and routine she has settled and is now a much happier dog.She will need an experienced dog owner who understands confident, strong breeds and can continue her training. Porsche is strong on the lead and can be reactive to other dogs, although she has shown that she can build positive relationships. She particularly enjoys walking with one of our male dogs, Spud, and does so calmly and happily.Porsche can be wary of unfamiliar people and may bark when she feels unsure, so introductions will need to be managed carefully and at her pace. Once she knows you, however, she is very affectionate and enjoys physical contact — she greets the staff enthusiastically and loves stretching up for attention when coming out of her kennel.True to her Boxer nature, Porsche enjoys play and time outdoors. She especially loves watching and chasing birds in the pen, with seagulls being a particular favourite. Boxers are intelligent, energetic, and people-focused dogs, and Porsche shows all of these traits. She will benefit from regular exercise, mental stimulation, and clear, consistent boundaries.In terms of care, Boxers have short coats that are easy to maintain with occasional brushing. They do best with structured routines and positive reinforcement training. With patience, regular exercise, and plenty of love, she began to trust us and truly blossom.Tilly was eventually adopted into a loving home and thrived there—gaining confidence, enjoying her walks, and becoming a much happier dog. Sadly, due to unforeseen personal circumstances (no fault of her own), she had to come back to us. The silver lining is that she returned as a far more confident and settled dog, and we know she can flourish again in the right home.She has become a firm favourite with the staff here—everyone adores her. She’s not only sweet and loyal, but she’s also a lot of fun.
