Bonnie keeps everyone entertained and always has us in stitches with her playful, giddy nature. She came into our care with her mum, Tallulah, and has been a joy to look after. Bonnie could potentially live with another well-socialised dog, pending introductions, as she enjoys canine company.Like many Olde English Bulldogs, Bonnie is affectionate, people-oriented, and loves being part of the action. She has a typical bulldog charm—fun-loving, a little stubborn at times, and full of character. She thrives on human interaction and will make a devoted companion.Due to her excitable and bouncy nature, Bonnie could live with older children who are confident around lively dogs. She may be a bit too giddy for younger children. As a flat-faced (brachycephalic) breed, Bonnie can be prone to breathing difficulties, especially in warm weather or during overexertion. Her new home will need to be mindful of this, ensuring she stays cool, avoids excessive exercise in heat, and is monitored for any signs of breathing distress.Bonnie enjoys her walks and playtime but doesn’t require excessive exercise. He’s an incredibly friendly boy who loves everyone he meets and has been getting on really well with the other dogs at the centre—especially his friend Red, as he’s always keen to initiate play!Bruce is still very much a big puppy and can be quite boisterous, so he will need ongoing training and guidance to help him channel his energy in the right way. He absolutely loves spending time in the free run pen where he can burn off some of that enthusiasm. He’s a treat-orientated boy, which will be a great advantage when it comes to training. That said, he doesn’t always pick things up straight away—bless him—so he’ll need a patient and understanding owner who is willing to put the time into helping him learn and develop at his own pace.Bruce hasn’t quite mastered the art of fetch yet. When you throw a ball, he tends to look a little puzzled as if wondering where it’s gone, which only adds to his charm .He has previously lived with two female dogs, although this could be a little challenging at times. We believe this may have been due to him being neutered later, with hormones likely playing a role in some pushy behaviour. With time, patience, and consistency, he has all the potential to grow into a fantastic companion.Plenty of companionship – he doesn’t enjoy being alone for long periodsAn active lifestyle with daily walks and playtimeOngoing training (lead walking, basic commands, social skills)Mental stimulation (toys, games, enrichment)A secure space to relax and feel safeGood-quality food and fresh waterRoutine vet care (vaccinations, flea/worming, neutering when appropriate)Bruce is an incredibly sweet-natured, affectionate young dog.. If you’re looking for a devoted walking buddy and affectionate friend, Pepsi could be the one for you.Greyhounds have unique needs and traits due to their breed history and life experiences, especially former racing Greyhounds like Cassie. Here’s a guide to consider for his successful adoption:Moderate exercise. Greyhounds are known as “sprinters” rather than long-distance runners. While they need daily exercise, a few short bursts of play 20-30 minute walks will usually suffice.A safe and fenced area: Given his enjoyment of playtime in the free-run pen, a fenced garden or access to a secure area is ideal. Greyhounds usually have a strong prey drive and may chase after small animals, so keeping them leashed in unfenced areas is crucial.Reactive to cats: As a former racer, Cassies prey drive can make her reactive towards cats and small animals. Ideally, she should be the only pet or paired with larger dogs, which she feels comfortable with and is used to.Socialisation and CompanionshipSince spending her life in racing kennels, household sounds and settings may be unfamiliar. Expect a transition period as she adapts to indoor living.Sensitive skin and low body fat: Greyhounds have thin skin and very little body fat, making them sensitive to cold and heat. A coat or sweater during colder weather is essential, and she should always have a soft bed to prevent sores from lying on hard surfaces.
