Skylor’s Animal Rescue is a small, family-run, non-profit dog rescue operating through a network of foster homes rather than a central location. The charity rescues unwanted and abandoned dogs from pounds, along with ex-racing greyhounds directly from the track, and also helps reunite lost dogs with their owners. Skylor’s Animal Rescue rehomes dogs across the UK, carefully assessing each individual dog’s needs and matching them to the most suitable home, regardless of living situation, as long as it is right for the dog. Dogs are fostered in family environments, allowing the team to understand their personalities and needs before adoption. With the dog’s welfare always as the top priority, the rescue is committed to finding loving homes where each dog can truly thrive.

Grace is a stunning 2-year-old Tibetan Mastiff who came into our care after being abandoned and taken into the pound. After serving her 7 days, we were able to offer her rescue and the chance of a much brighter future. Although we don’t know much about Grace’s past, she has shown herself to be a very friendly, affectionate, and loving girl. When she arrived, her coat was in terrible condition — extremely matted in places, with some mats the size of tennis balls and tight to the skin. Due to this, parts of her coat had to be shaved. She was also very skinny and malnourished. Grace will need regular, ongoing grooming to ensure her coat is never allowed to become matted again. Our groomer Lisa did an amazing job with her and absolutely adores her. Grace is on the smaller side for a Tibetan Mastiff, only 38.6kg in weight. but she has a big personality! She is bouncy, playful, and full of character. She seems good around other dogs but would happily live as the only dog in the home, as she loves having all the attention — a true diva at heart. She knows some basic commands but will need a home willing to continue her training. Grace can be strong on the lead, though she does settle on walks and then happily plods along. She would be best suited to a home with older children aged 12+, as her playful and bouncy nature could easily knock over younger children. Grace has not been tested with cats, so we are looking for a cat-free home, with no small furries. She is clean in her kennel and would thrive in a home with previous hands-on experience owning mastiffs, not just walking or meeting them. Grace is a special girl who has clearly had a rough start, but she has so much love to give. With the right experienced home, she will make a loyal and devoted companion. If you'd like to offer Grace a forever home, please fill in our online application form. If you’re successful you will receive an email from us (please check your spam), have a home check, then we invite you to meet the dog. Lifetime rescue backup. Can rehome U.K. wide.

Jen came into our care through another rescue and hasn’t had the easiest start in life. Because of this, she can be very nervous, especially around new people and in new situations. She had been in a rescue home but wasn't gaining the confidence we had hoped, however since Jen moved in with Adam from K999 and his amazing pack she has come on so well we’re looking for that perfect home for her. She must be homed with at least one other confident dog or dogs. A home where she will be given the time and patience to thrive without children or older teens. It has just been so lovely to see her cofidence grow and her personality to come out in the last few weeks. She needs someone patient, understanding, and willing to give her the time she needs to blossom and who can ensure she has quiet places to walk and to gain confidence, Jen is such a lovely, soft-natured girl, we are determined to find her the perfect home where she will be truly loved. Otto came into our care due to no fault of his own. Previously rescued, the new owner got a little overwhelmed with having too many dogs. She was doing her best but reached out to us and we couldn't say no. We took Otto and Teddy and they have gone straight into foster with Julia and Mei. Once they’ve settled in more Julia will let us know about Otto and his what his perfect home looks like. The previous owner has said Otto is a little shy and can be a little scared. He’s not used to going out for walks but loves to play with his toys out in the garden. Julia will work on lead walks and take him out more with her confident dogs. He’s isn’t fully housetrained yet but that’s being worked on. Due to him being a little nervous we think he would be best in a home without small children ideally a quiet and chilled home. He’s a very loving boy and would benefit being with a confident female dog to help bring his playful side out. He will make someone a great companion. As we do not know his past we would suggest a home without cats. If you'd like to offer Otto a forever home, please fill in our online application form. If you’re successful you will receive an email from us (please check your spam), have a home check, then we invite you to meet the dog. He will be vaccinated, microchipped and flea and worm treated. He will also be neutered. Lifetime rescue backup. And can rehome U.K. wide. only if you’re willing to travel to North Wales to meet the dog.
