Beth is still very nervous of people she doesn’t know. She will bark when they enter her space and retreat to her crate to feel safe. She prefers to approach at her own pace from behind and sniff.Beth is happy to wear a collar and harness but doesn’t like the feel of tension on the lead. This can trigger a flight response so much more ongoing training will be required. She hasn’t been walked in public due to how distressed she gets on the lead and also because she gets worried when approached by new dogs or people.Beth currently lives with children, and whilst there has been absolutely no aggression shown, she does get stressed by sudden movements and noise. She could live with calm children who are mindful of her issues but she would thrive in a quieter home with minimal comings and goings.Beth could be the only dog in the household but would benefit from having another doggy companion around, especially as she is so nervous of people .
