Bert arrived at Just for Dogs in December 2025 as a 7-month-old puppy, alongside his siblings. Like so many young dogs, Bert had his whole life ahead of him – and it wasn’t long before he found a home of his own.But sadly, through no fault of his own, Bert has recently found himself back in the care of JFD and has had nothing but high praise from his initial adopters.For a young dog who thought he had already found his place in the world, returning to rescue can be confusing. The routines have changed, the familiar faces are gone, and Bert is once again trying to understand where he belongs. Despite this, he continues to show everyone just how gentle and special he truly is.Bert is such a lovely boy with the sweetest nature. He can appear a little nervous when meeting new people at first – something that’s completely understandable after the changes he’s experienced.
