Description
Harley came into our care in June 2021, making her our longest resident. She has been rehomed several times but sadly gets returned due to her behaviour.
Harley is a resource guarder and becomes protective over items she sees as hers. She can also have tantrums when she doesn’t get her own way.
What we have learnt about Harley is that she is perfectly capable of living within a home environment when it is managed. The problem is that Harley can go for months without an episode, so the boundaries get relaxed far too soon for her. This is easy to do because Harley is good dog. She loves her walks, has brilliant recall, is good with other dogs and is as clever as they come. She just can’t seem to shake her aggressive outbursts.
We are seeking a home for Harley, where she can have her own space. We understand Harley and her triggers and within the kennel environment her routine is structured and predictable for her. She copes well with this and we do not tend to see her aggression here....
