Hartley

Sometimes even a happy adoption story takes an unexpected turn. Hartley was adopted from our rescue around 18 months ago, and his family have done a wonderful job helping him grow into a much more confident, happy and settled dog. Unfortunately, his owners have now separated, and the change in circumstances means Hartley would regularly be left alone for 8+ hours a day — something his owner knows would be too much for him. His owner is heartbroken. He loves Hartley dearly and is incredibly proud of how far he has come. Hartley is a 6-year-old upper-medium mixed-breed boy, sweet, clever, affectionate and wonderfully loyal once he gets to know you. He has made enormous progress over the past year and a half and deserves a home where all that hard work can continue.
