OUR HIDDEN LITTLE WONKY TREASURE JAKE A DELIGHTFUL 5.5 YEAR OLD BOY. Jake was found in Lefkara in Nov 2024, and within a week he was taken to Private kennels. This boy is adventurous and he was jumping over the fence of the small shelter in the Village to find people, it wasn’t safe for him to remain there. What we didn’t expect or weren’t aware was the extent of his legs, within days of arriving at the Private kennels it was established that his legs, were just …. Not normal!!. •One of his front legs had an old injury that badly healed, but nothing we could do for this. It certainly doesn’t limit him. •Both Back legs had Hip Dysplasia, and he has had 2 operations (FHO surgeries) with each one followed by hydrotherapy. Fast forward to recent months, Jake also has Leishmania, undergoing treatment and doing very well.
