Jolene

Jolene is a gentle, nervous little lady who has come to us from a breeder and is slowly beginning to discover what it means to feel safe, loved, and happy. Though initially shy, Jolene is showing wonderful progress in foster care and is beginning to come out of her shell. She doesn’t back away from humans, and she now enjoys cuddles and gentle grooming, which are small but meaningful moments of trust for her.Jolene is clean in the house, comfortable with household noises, and confidently explores all the rooms downstairs. She sleeps through the night and is learning to walk on a lead, showing that she is ready to start learning home life at her own gentle pace. When she gains more confidence, Jolene is going to be a very active, playful young girl, but for now she finds joy by observing her friends and will need the reassurance of a kind, confident dog or two to guide her along the way.
