Meet Lara – A Heart Full of Joy and a Love for Life Lara is a 5-year-old, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated girl who is searching for her forever home. She is the definition of a happy, active dog. Lara is an ultimate retriever — if you can throw it, she will chase it! Balls, sticks, stones… even the occasional orange — she proudly collects her treasures and brings them back with pure excitement. She would thrive with an active person who enjoys walks, playtime, and a dog who’s always ready for the next adventure. Despite her energy, Lara has an incredibly gentle soul. She is kind and calm with other animals and has a naturally sweet temperament that makes her easy to love. Her past, however, was far from kind. Lara was found caged, severely underweight, and very unwell. But like many truly special dogs, she chose joy over fear.
