Sadly she spent around a year confined there without the correct level of care. During that time, painful dental disease was left untreated, along with cherry eye. When Lucie finally joined our partner rescue, she immediately received the treatment she needed, including dental surgery to remove a severely infected tooth with a decomposed root. Despite everything she had endured, her sweet trusting personality never faded. Within days she was back to smiling, wagging her tail and enjoying life. She is a truly special girl and one of those dogs who quietly steals your heart. She has an incredibly gentle, sensible nature who has embraced home life with remarkable ease. She settled beautifully into foster care, fitting seamlessly into the resident pack from day one. She is wonderfully easy going with other dogs, loves people and is happiest when she can be close by to her humans.
