Merlin came to us recently as a stray from the pound, and it’s impossible not to feel your heart break when you look at him. He is painfully underweight, his little body covered in scars and injuries, including cigarette burns, that quietly tell the story of a life that has not been kind to him.Yet somehow, despite everything he has endured, Merlin is still the most beautiful, gentle, loving soul. He craves affection and closeness — all he wants is to be loved and to feel safe. He loves everyone he meets! Merlin is incredibly skilled at finding food, which sadly suggests he has spent much of his life scavenging just to survive. No dog should ever have to live like that.Because of his condition, we are desperate to get Merlin into a foster or forever home as soon as possible.
