Peanut

Peanut is a handsome shaded-red long-hair mini dachshund who is looking for a loving, calm home with no children. He’s an anxious boy so a stable and calm home would be preferable. Peanut loves his people and is a loyal and affectionate little dog who loves nothing better than curling up on a knee and getting cuddles. He has is reactive to visitors and needs owners who are comfortable advocating for him so he is left alone and allowed to be introduced to visitors gradually, and once he has calmed down. We will provide behaviourist support if needed, but gorgeous little dogs can get sick and tired of unasked-for attention! Peanut is reactive to other dogs on lead and will bark/lunge at them, clicker training with treats is extremely helpful at curtailing this behaviour and calming him down, as a result of his reactivity he is only walked on-lead. His current owners report that he gets on very well with some female dogs, so potentially he could form a great partnership with a calm female...
