Rex

Background –Rex ended up in rescue when his owner sadly and suddenly passed away. He was very overweight when he first joined us but he’s slowly losing the pounds!Character –Rex is a very typical hound; he’s sweet and inquisitive. He attended a training session during his time here where he loved being challenged to use his nose, so we think he’s going to love lots of mental enrichment. Rex is affectionate but also an independent boy and loves going out on his walks. He is still learning his household manners, so his new family would ideally live a flexible lifestyle that is understanding of his nature.Type of home –Rex is looking for a semi-active home where he will be taken out, but can also have his chill time and potter around the garden. Rex may be able to live with other dogs subject to successful introductions. He hasn’t been tested with children in our care, and we don’t know how much experience he has had with them; therefore, we think he would be best with calm older children...
