Introducing Rio, a 8 year old female Akita in search of a new home through no fault of her own. Due to her owner’s health issues and challenges with a young child in the household, Rio is looking for a peaceful and loving environment where she can truly thrive. Rio is a calm and composed girl with a laid back and calm temperament. When visitors arrive, she greets them with quiet curiosity and doesn’t bark, showcasing her gentle nature. She was comfortable with being touched all over by our assessor, including her ears, paws, and tail, and she loves a good belly rub, making her a delightful companion for anyone looking for a loving pet. Taking Rio for a walk is a pleasure, she walks well on a lead without any noticeable pulling. The only dog: She need to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention.
