’s plight on Facebook - a rescue were sharing photos of her living on a petrol station forecourt and regularly dodging traffic. They had no space so were asking for help from anyone that could take her on. We reached out to one of our own partner kennels in the area who were happy to help trap her and get her to safety. Its so dangerous for podencos to be crossing roads regularly to get food and shelter.She proved incredibly difficult to catch as she wouldn’t go into the trap despite many attempts. Our contact spoke to local workers who said many rescues had tried to catch her and failed - she had been there for many months evading all different types of capture - incredibly wily, cunning and elusive, like a fox hence her name! We were all coming to the realisation that she may end up getting hit before we could save her, when we got a message saying that a girl in the local area had caught a female podenco.
