Walter is an 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier with a gentle soul who is looking for a calm, understanding home to call his own. Like many sensitive little dogs, Walter can be nervous when he first meets new people. However, once he’s given time, patience, and space to build trust, his true personality shines through. He becomes playful, affectionate, and enjoys spending time with the people he feels safe with. Walter has low to moderate energy levels. He loves heading out for walks where he can explore the world at his own pace, taking in all the sights and smells — sniffing is definitely one of his favourite activities! Back at home, he’s happiest in a quiet environment where he can relax and feel secure. Walter is best suited to an adult-only, pet-free home. Due to a previous incident with another dog, Walter struggles with being harnessed or handled on certain parts of his body.
