About The Red Foundation
The Red Foundation is dedicated to protecting the health and wellbeing of every Dachshund in its care, while also acting as advocates and educators for the breed. The team approaches surrenders with empathy and compassion, offering behavioural or medical support wherever possible to help owners keep their dogs before rehoming becomes necessary. For those that do need new homes, each dog is carefully placed and remains a “Red Foundation dog” for life, with lifetime backup and contractual safeguards to prevent onward transfer without the charity’s involvement. Their commitment ensures every Dachshund receives responsible care, protection and support for the rest of its life.
