Cryptorchid (retained testicles) on arrival; has undergone surgical removal and recovered well. History of an anal gland abscess in rescue, now fully resolved. Heart clear. On medication? Yes – lifelong medication for Chiari malformation (approx. £40 per month)Behaviour traits: Friendly, confident, social and affectionate. Excellent with new people. Will bark at dogs when out. Extremely prey driven – highly stimulated by birds, squirrels and other small animals, and can become very strong when triggered. Activity level: High – needs at least two good walks every day. Training required: Ongoing recall and lead training essential. Walks well generally, but will pull and bark when prey-driven or when he sees other dogs.
