Avril has come to us from her breeder in need of a fresh start, carrying the kind of quiet uncertainty that comes from not knowing much of the world outside a kennel. In those early days, she relied heavily on her kennel friends for courage, trembling softly as she allowed us to pick her up, her relief almost palpable when her little paws touched the ground again.But time, patience, and kindness have begun to work their magic.Avril has slowly started peeking out from her safe space, taking careful steps out of her kennel to investigate her surroundings and give her visitors a gentle, curious sniff before retreating to her bed. She is still a quiet girl, watching the world from the edges until she feels safe but she is also the sort who will softly remind you to say goodbye as you leave, her way of saying she noticed you, and maybe even appreciated you.She has never lived in a home before, so everything from house training to lead walking will be new to her.
