Barbie’s rescue began heartbreakingly early in life. At just two months old, she was abandoned on the streets by irresponsible owners — a baby with no survival skills and no chance on her own. Her luck changed when two incredible women, who have been rescuing animals on the streets of Skopje for decades, found her and took her to safety. What was meant to be a short stay in kennels sadly turned into nearly three years of confinement — years that should have been filled with love, freedom, and family life. Despite this incredibly difficult start, Barbie’s spirit was never broken. She remains hopeful, gentle, and full of love, still believing that her forever family is out there somewhere. Now safely in foster care in Devon, Barbie is showing everyone just how wonderful she is. She is a very sweet, affectionate, and gentle girl with a loving nature and a playful side.
