Barney

Meet Barney!! Barney is very unsure and fearful with new people and new surroundings. He was a bit growly when he first came into us but the staff have now gained his trust and he is comfortable around them now. He will need an experienced owner that has worked with fearful dogs before that will work with him on a daily basis using positive reinforcement training. This will have to be done at Barney’s pace and what he is comfortable with. Barney will need an adult only home with no visiting children as he is very wary of loud noises and sudden movements. His new owner will have to be very active so he can go on long walks each day and receive all the mental stimulation he will need. Barney will need a private secure garden.Barney has socialised with dogs whilst in our care but is a little unsure around them so we would like him to be the only dog in the home where he can take his time getting used to other dogs whilst out on walks.Applications that are successful will be provided with ...
