Are you right for Bertram?Meet the sweet but shy, Bertram. He’s a 1 year old Lurcher who has come into our care with little know about his past. He’s a worried boy who is hoping to find patient and understanding adopters who can take things at his pace. He’d do well in a calm and peaceful home and would need a garden of his own where he can safely explore. Bertram can be quite worried when it comes to doing “normal” dogs things like walking on lead or interacting with people and will need some time to learn these things. He may also need support with things such as housetraining and learning how to spend time home alone. He could live with older children of 14+ who can learn to read his body language and understand when he may be feeling frightened or overwhelmed. Bertram gets lots of confidence from his doggy friends and therefore must live with a pre-existing confident dog that can help show him the ropes.
