Are you right for Ada?Ada is a beautiful 9-month-old Spanish Mastiff cross who is now ready to find her forever family. She’s a sweet-natured girl, but she can sometimes feel a little overwhelmed, so she’s looking for a calm home with children aged 14+ who can give her space when she needs time to relax and settle. As a young dog still figuring out the world, Ada can occasionally become boisterous and mouthy, so she’ll need confident owners who can continue her training and help her learn the right behaviours to manage her big feelings.Enrichment and food-based activities are a huge hit with Ada, and these will be invaluable tools for teaching her calming, settling behaviours. She has previously been housetrained, though she may need a refresher as she transitions back into home life. Ada hasn’t had much experience being left alone, so any time spent solo will need to be built up slowly. While she enjoys playing with other dogs, she would prefer to be the only pet in her new home so she can soak up all the attention for herself.

Are you right for Atlas?Meet Atlas, a big handsome lad who is still just a youngster at 1 year old. He's arrived with us after being found a stray meaning that we don't know too much about his past. Since coming into our care he's been a little overwhelmed and can find new people a little scary. He's slowly finding his paws and is showing us what a silly and goofy boy he is! Atlas is looking for a home with children 14+ who can understand his worries and sensitive nature who can learn to read his body language and give him any time and space he might need. It's likely he has never been in a home before, so may need some support with all aspects of home life including things such as housetraining. We also recommend any time being left is gradually built up as he settles in. Atlas absolutely loves his toys and is never happier than when he's zooming around playing fetch! Atlas isn't comfortable around other dogs, and is learning to wear a muzzle while out and about on walks, and will need access to quiet walking areas and secure fields where he can relax and enjoy nature. He must have access to his own secure garden with no dogs living either side and secure fencing.

Are you right for Ava?Meet Ava - our beautiful 11 year old Spaniel crossAva is a little princess who adores her home comforts. She enjoys the simple things in life - a cosy spot to relax, her soft toys, and a good game of ball chasing. Once she feels safe and settled, Ava's affectionate side truly shines and she loves being the centre of attention, soaking up all the fuss from her favourite people.Ava does have a sensitive, nervous side, so she's looking for a patient and understanding home where she can take things at her own pace. She'll need adopters who are happy to give her the time and space she needs to build trust and find her confidence.She would be happiest in a quieter household and could live with older children - 16+ who understand when she needs her own space. Ava can be worried around other dogs, so she's looking to be the only pet in the home and would prefer quieter walking areas where she can relax and enjoy her outings without too much going on and would need her own secure, private garden where she can have potter and unwind.In her previous home Ava was comfortable being left for around 2 hours and was housetrained but may need a little refresher in these areas.

Axel is a lovely 4 year old Mastiff. Axel currently lives with his wonderful family, who he has lived with since being a puppy. They’ve unfortunately had a change in circumstances, and Axel now needs a new forever home. He has lived with children since being a puppy, but he can be nervous of new people so we feel a sensible, experienced adult only home would be best for him. We are confident that with time and sensible introductions he would be happy around new children as he’s very loving and playful with the ones he knows and trusts. Axel hasn’t ever lived with another dog but he does love playing with another family member’s dog, and he’s been doing really well meeting new four legged friends recently and has even been enjoying off lead time with them so we feel with a number of sensible introductions he could live with another dog. He’s never been around cats so can’t be rehomed with them. Although he is a strong lad he walks very well on the lead, isn’t phased by busy roads, he’s far more interested in sniffing but he does need someone who is physically able to handle his size and strength. Meets will be in South Yorkshire

Are you right for Axo?Handsome Axo has come into our care through no fault of his own, as his owner was sadly no longer able to care for him. Despite the changes he’s experienced, Axo has remained a happy and affectionate little lad who greets everyone he meets with a wiggly tail and lots of love.Axo is currently living off-site in a foster home where he is settling in really well and enjoying a comfortable routine. He has been mostly housetrained and travels well in the car, making him a great companion for little adventures. Axo does have a history of being left for short periods, but we would recommend any time alone is built up gradually as he settles into his new home.He’s a friendly and social boy when out and about, so we think Axo could potentially live with another dog following a successful meeting here at the centre. We also think he could happily live with sensible secondary school aged children.Axo is a real cuddle lover who enjoys the simple comforts in life – a cosy bed, a warm sofa, and plenty of snuggles with his people. He’s looking for a loving forever home where he can continue to feel safe, cherished, and part of the family.

Beau is a stunning four year old crossbreed (Labrador, Weimaraner, staffy possibly) who needs a new home through no fault of her own. She is a stunning large breed girl (38kg) and adores people. She’s been around children 3+ with no issues so we would be happy to rehome her with sensible dog savvy children 3+. She has never lived with another dog and she will bark when she sees other dogs although her owners say she just wants to play so a home as an only dog or with a friendly neutered male would be suited. She isn’t suited to living with cats as she has never been around them. She is friendly with new people out and about and in her home although she can be excited and jump up for fuss. She can pull on her lead but with further training I think this would improve significantly and she is not unmanageable at all. She would suit an active home where she would get plenty of exercise. She loves her food (that would be the Lab!) and takes treats well. We are told she has good recall and loves to play ball. She travels ok and is fine to be left for reasonable periods. She is speyed and vaccinated and chipped. Forever homes can be anywhere within the UK but you will need to travel to meet them where we are based in Alcester, Warwickshire. Our adoption fee is £250.

Are you right for Bella Boo?Meet the beautiful, Bella Boo! She's full of fun, energy and love to give her forever family. Bella is on the search for her an active and adult only forever home. She loves nothing more than being out and about exploring, playing and getting her nose into mischief. Bella Boo loves to play with her doggy friends of a similar size, however she can get boisterous and over the top in her playstyle. She could live with another dog however it would beneficial that they could have areas in the house to have time apart if needed. She's is a big, boisterous girlie who often forgets her size, so her new family will need to committed to continuing her ongoing training with guidance from our team at the centre. Bella Boo struggles being left home alone and therefore would love to find a home where she can have someone with her most of (if not all) of the time. She adores her food and is a very clever girly who can find her way into the treat cupboard so adopters must ensure the house pooch proof. It's important to ensure that Bella Boo has lots to do in the home as well as out and about to keep her mind busy. She is very good at food based enrichment such as puzzle toys or snuffle mats so this is a great way to keep her entertained. Bella Boo travels well in the car, which means she loves to go and explore new places. Bella Boo does wear her muzzle out and about on her walkies, which she knows just how fabulous she looks!

These two handsome boys have come into our care through no fault of their own, as their owner was sadly no longer able to care for them. We think they could happily live with sensible secondary school aged children.Both boys are friendly and social when out and about, so we think they could potentially live with another dog following a successful meeting here at the centre.These lovely lads are enjoying a life of comfort and love nothing more than curling up together in a cosy bed, followed by plenty of snuggles with their carers on the sofa.

Bess is a seven year old medium sized crossbreed (looks similar to a collie) looking for an active home. Sadly her owner passed away and she’s not getting on with one of the other dogs she’s now living with. She is great with children 2 upwards and we would happily rehome her with children of that age. She is a no to cats/small furries and initially at least would be better suited as an only dog. Meets can be in Alcester or South Yorkshire

Are you right for Billy?Billy is a sweet and affectionate Staffy cross looking for an adult-only home or one with children aged 16+ where he can enjoy a calm and understanding environment. In the home, Billy is a real softie. He loves a cuddle, especially if he can burrow under a blanket or duvet, and he’s more than happy to spend the evening watching the T.V with his people. He’s very people friendly and enjoys being around his humans. Billy is housetrained and has previously been comfortable being left for a few hours, although this may need building up again as he settles into a new home and routine.When out on walks, Billy can find seeing other dogs overwhelming and struggles to manage his emotions around them. Because of this, he would benefit from quieter walking areas while he continues learning to stay calm around other dogs. Billy can get very excitable and boisterous, and when he’s overexcited he may show some mouthy behavior's, so he would suit owners who are happy to continue guiding him and helping him channel his enthusiasm in positive ways.

Billy is a handsome boy who is looking for a patient family able to help his confidence grow. We don’t have much history on Billy, but it seems he has not been exposed to much in the past and can become a bit over the top at times. We are working on this with him, and he is making improvements every day. Billy loves being around other dogs but is currently to be the only dog in the home due to being neutered recently, but he will share his walks with canine friends. Once you build a relationship Billy will happily enjoy some fuss and loves an ear massage! We are looking for an adult only home, so Billy has a quiet place to take himself should he feel overwhelmed. Billy would like a big cosy bed to curl up into, and a nice garden he can explore. He has so much love to give to a family and will be an amazing addition to the home. We would like a family interested to meet him a few times or have a few home visits to build his confidence so will be looking for a home close to our Rescue.

Biscuit is a lovely older gentleman looking for his forever home. He has firmly stolen the hearts of the Pawprints team !Biscuit Biscuit is a handsome older gentleman who would like to find a quiet home to spend his retirement years, he is on some medication for his legs as they have become a bit stiff as he has gotten older, but it doesn’t stop him! He loves to have a run around and chase a ball and will still happily go out for some walks. He has previously lived with another dog and has been relaxed to see them whilst with us, but this needs some further assessing and will be done soon. He would suit being the only dog and having people around most of the time, he really loves fuss and attention and will happily sit on your lap once he knows you. Biscuit has been known to not take a liking to male visitors in the home but has lived with and been around men so may just need a safe space in the home when visitors are there. Biscuit would prefer a home with adults only and no visiting children, he likes his peace and quiet! Vets are very scary to biscuit, and he does need to be muzzled as a precaution, we have started muzzle training with him and will show new adopters how to carry this is on
