Blue

Lovely Blue is now 8 years of age and has been in this home for 4 years. He is the family dog and has been much loved travelling on many holidays to Ireland and around England with them. His owners explain that he now has severe arthritis according to recent scans. He is not responding to a range of medications (Rycarfa, Librela), with the pain in particular in his left wrist. The pain is not constant but seems to be apparent at different points in the day. He walks with a slight limp now, having been a very active dog all of his life. He came to us with a history of behaviour (having had at least 3 previous owners) One home he left due to behaviour, one because he was not a good ‘hunting’ dog, and one the family went back to work after lockdown and so gave him up. We have worked hard to address this, employing a dog behaviourist as soon as we got him, who works with dogs at the Met police.
