Sweet little Cara is approximately 18 months old and is now ready to find her forever home after beginning a remarkable journey of learning that the world can be a safe and happy place. When Cara first arrived into foster care, she was very shut down and overwhelmed by everything around her. Over the past few months, she has slowly started to come out of her shell and is beginning to show the playful, affectionate little girl who was hidden underneath her fear. Every small step forward has been a huge achievement for her, and she is now starting to understand that she doesn’t need to be afraid. Her confidence is growing day by day, and it is a real joy to watch her blossom. Cara is still nervous around new people and unfamiliar situations, especially in the outside world, but she is improving all the time.
