Description
Charlie is an adorable 10-year-old crossbreed weighing 16.3kg, who came into Islay Dog Rescue through no fault of his own following a change in his family’s circumstances. Although Charlie is an older gentleman, he certainly doesn’t act his age! He has plenty of energy and loves playing with his toys, chasing a ball and going for walks. He walks nicely on the lead and enjoys getting out and about. Charlie has previously lived in a home and we have been told that he is house trained. He responds to his name and will sit nicely for a treat — although if you take too long to hand it over, he’ll happily give you a little verbal reminder! Charlie does like to talk when he is in his kennel or when he wants something, but when out on a walk he is quiet and well behaved. He doesn’t react to passing people or traffic and can walk alongside other dogs while on a lead. Off lead, however, Charlie becomes very excitable around other dogs and cats.
