Description
Dakota is a lovely lady who has been in our care for far too long! Dakota was found straying about one year ago, and was never claimed. We are unsure what ordeals this girl has been through, but the staff was determine to work with her and gain her trust. Still, Dakota can be unsure of new things – she has been out of the centre a few times so she gets used to the outside world. Cars and strangers can sometimes seem quite daunting to her. She will often lean against the staff or pause while walking if she is not feeling too secure. She might bark at strangers when they approach to say hello, as she is not yet a confident dog. If introduced to someone properly, Dakota is happy to get pets and treats from new friends!She loves cuddles in our Quiet Room and will use the staff as a pillow! If allowed, Dakota would spend her days snoozing away and would be happy if entertained by her human companions. Dakota can be reactive towards other dogs, as it is typical of her breed.
