Sweet Delilah has been on quite the journey. She first came to us from a breeder, a very scared and shut-down little girl who had never known the comforts of a loving home. Everything was new and overwhelming for her, and she relied heavily on other dogs for comfort and reassurance.Delilah was adopted for a short while, but sadly, she returned to our care when the resident dog, her source of comfort and confidence passed away unexpectedly. Without that companionship, she struggled to cope. Since then, she’s been back in her foster home, where over time, she’s begun to blossom in ways that make our hearts so proud.It’s taken many months, patience, and gentle encouragement, but Delilah has made incredible progress. This once fearful girl now enjoys gentle strokes when you say “touch,” and even understands “cuddles” when it’s time to be picked up, such a clever and trusting soul.
