Are you right for Dotty?Dotty is a five-year-old Miniature Dachshund looking for a loving home with patient and understanding adult adopters. Dotty has a nervous nature and takes her time to bond to new people. She will need a ‘hands off’ approach to introductions as she builds successful friendships when she chooses to approach people in her time and at her own will. Potential adopters will need to come to the rehoming centre a few times to build up a bond with her. She is looking to be the only dog in the home. She shows no interest in them when out and about and likes to keep herself to herself. She is looking for a home without cats or small furries and has no history around livestock. Dotty will need help with her housetraining using positive reward training. She dislikes being left alone and will need company for most of the time with a view to time left alone being built up gradually. Dotty is happy to travel in the car.
