Are you right for Duchess? Duchess is a beautiful 1 year 11 month old (approx) girl with a gentle nature who is looking for a patient and understanding family to help her discover that the world isn't so scary. She can feel worried and conflicted when meeting new people, so she'll need adopters who are happy to visit her several times and let her build trust at her own pace and ideally living within 1 hour of the centre for home visits. Once she begins to feel safe, her sweet personality starts to shine through. In her foster home, she has blossomed into an affectionate girl who enjoys seeking attention from her carers and absolutely loves playing with her teddies. Duchess is still learning about home life, she also finds being left alone very difficult and will cry and toilet if left, so any time spent alone will need to be introduced very gradually as she settles and gains confidence.
