Ernie is £250 Ernie is an amazing little dachshund who is friendly, sociable and could live with sensible children. His family have made the very hard decision to rehome him as sadly his (normal level for a dachshund) barking is adversely affecting their noise-sensitive child and the resulting stress is not good for anyone. Ernie is an affectionate boy who loves people and other dogs. He is happy just chilling on the sofa, lying in the sun and also thoroughly enjoys a good walk and lots of sniffing time. He sleeps in his bed on the floor but has also been known to creep his way into his owner’s bed on a regular basis! He will bark to alert his owner if he hears other dogs (in particular dogs with bells on their collars) so will need a home where this is not going to be happening frequently. Ernie is house-trained and in good health – he had two separate incidents of limping, but these were resolved quickly with pain killers and less exercise.
