Gus

Meet Gus. Gus is a very pretty Beagle mix with a classic Beagle personality and lots of character. He is a friendly boy who enjoys human company and being part of daily life. Gus is currently overweight, so he will need a committed home that can support his weight-loss journey. This includes a low-fat diet and two walks a day plus some time out playing in the garden, to help him stay active. He does pull on the lead, so continued lead training will be important. Like many food-motivated dogs, Gus can be greedy and can be impolite taking treats from you . For this reason, he is not suitable for a home with young children and will need to live in either an adult only household or in a household that have older children (13+). Gus also has some handling sensitivities and is uncomfortable having his stomach or legs touched, so he will need a patient, understanding owner who can respect his boundaries and continue gentle, positive handling training.
