Are you right for Buster?Say hello to our older gentleman, Buster! Buster is a handsome, 10-year old Beagle looking for his retirement home. Buster would like to be rehomed with his friend, Hazel, as they are a bonded pair. Buster could go home with children 8yrs+ as he is a super friendly boy. Buster is fully house-trained, and has been left alone previously for 4-6 hours with a break, so there is scope for this to happen again in the new home once settled. Buster travels well in the car, and walks wonderfully on the lead; enjoying slow, sniffy walks in true Beagle fashion.Buster comes around super quickly to new people, and enjoys a good fuss. He can be a bit worried of visitors in the home initially, but once he's had a good sniff, he settles really nicely. When out and about, he can go on calm parallel walks with other dogs but he would rather not have any in his face - he enjoys his space!

Coco, a 13 years old female Beagle available for adoption from Newcastle Dogs & Cats Shelter in Tyne and Wear

Coco could live with children aged 13+. She would like to be the only animal in the home. Coco is a gorgeous and lovely little lady who adores spending time with her humans! She loves being made a fuss of and is a playful girl who will engage with a variety of different toys. She is super friendly and will greet her friends with a waggy tail and is always keen to have a cuddle! Coco loves getting out and about for nice long walks and, like a typical beagle, she loves a sniff! Coco would love to find an active family who enjoy adventures in the great outdoors allowing her to put that awesome nose to good use! Coco has displayed some discomfort around certain dogs in the shelter, though has also been fine with others. We feel Coco would simply rather have her own space from other dogs and be the sole focus of her human’s attention! Coco would benefit from a home who have knowledge / experience of her breed and the beagle ‘quirks’. She will need an energetic family who can offer her plenty of mental and physical enrichment to keep her happy and healthy in both body and mind! This sweet girl has been a pleasure to spend time with during her stay here at the shelter. She has so much love to give and we know she will make a brilliant addition to the right family.
