Bailey

BreedBeagle

Bailey is looking for an owner who have preferably had beagles before so can fully appreciate the quirks this breed can have. He would like company for some of the day whilst he settles in and may be able to live with older children. Bailey is the ultimate dude who although can be a bit shy to begin with, quickly comes round once he feels comfortable and begins to show his fun loving, affectionate side. Once he trusts you, he’s a lovely companion who enjoys being around his people and he will certainly tell you when he wants something! He will happily plod along for his walks but is also playful and likes a good run around with his toys. Typical to his breed, he loves using his nose and is at his happiest when exploring all the different smells so may really enjoy having an activity like scent work. Bailey is generally unbothered about other dogs- he does have dog walking buddies which he may enjoy to continue to have with his new owner but tends to keep to himself.

Barney And Zuko

West Yorkshire

Are you right for Barney and Zuko?Barney is a handsome 13yr old Beagle who is looking for a new home with his best friend Zuko, a 13yr old Jack Russell Cross. This adorable elderly couple have been through a lot, and through no fault of their own. They are best friends so we're looking for a very special family who will adopt them together. They like to do everything together and being that bit older, will suit a less active, peaceful home where they can relax. Kids will be a bit too noisy and unpredictable for their twilight years so they're looking for an adult only home.Is Barney and Zuko right for you?Barney and Zuko are both really friendly gents and enjoy plenty of fuss. Don't count them out just because of their age as they still have lots of life in them, and tons of love to give. They do have a couple of age related medical things, and Zuko has a heart murmur, but don't let this put you off them. Everything is very much under control and our Vet will discuss things in more detail/ Even with this they still get quite playful, especially Zuko who lives for his toys! They're fine around other dogs but are each others best friend so don't want to share with any other pets. If you live a quiet life and are looking for two wonderful, loyal and loving companions to while away the days with then add Barney and Zuko to your favourites now.

MEET BINGO This gorgeous 2-year-old bundle of happiness is Bingo… and we just can’t believe he’s been overlooked for so long! Bingo has sadly spent over 12 months with another rescue without any interest So we’ve stepped in to help this amazing boy finally find the forever home he deserves. And honestly? We have NO idea why he’s been waiting… Bingo is the kind of dog who wakes up excited about life every single day. He thrives on attention, loves making new friends (human and canine!), and will happily be your shadow and your adventure buddy. He can be strong on the lead, but since starting to walk on a headcollar he’s doing so much better with continued guidance and consistency, he’ll keep improving. Because he gets so excited during play, he can sometimes become a little mouthy. This isn’t nasty behaviour — just an over-enthusiastic, playful lad who will need ongoing training and boundaries to help him channel that excitement appropriately. He’s young, eager, and ready to learn but would probably do best in a home without young children. Bingo would love an active home that can continue his training, give him plenty of exercise, and shower him with the love he’s been waiting far too long for. After a whole year without interest, let’s make sure Bingo’s next chapter is his best one yet! If you are interested in this handsome boy please email us for an application form - info@forest-dog-rescue.org.uk
