Could live with children 12+Derek is an 8-year-old Spitz who came into our care due to a change in his owner’s circumstances.He’s a lovely, spritely boy who enjoys his walks and is good with other dogs when out and about, but would prefer to be the only dog in the home. Derek is looking for a home where someone is around for most of the day, as he enjoys company and being part of daily life. He cannot live with cats, but could share his home with children aged 12 and over. Derek is a sweet boy looking for a calm, loving home to enjoy his next chapter.

Mayhew

Lovely Lady is a sweet natured, playful and gentle little soul. She can be shy when meeting new people but it doesn't take long for her to warm up and show her affectionate side, especially if there are treats involved! She enjoys going on sniffy adventures and is curious of her surroundings but can sometimes be vocal if something spooks her. She can be worried of some larger dogs, particularly males, but has been doing well with slow intros and regular walking buddies. She will need ongoing support and training to help build her confidence around dogs. This adorable girl is looking for a calm household with owners that will have the time and patience to allow her to blossom at her own pace. She will make a loving and rewarding companion for the right person or family.Lady can live in a flat as long as there is access to a private garden. She can be vocal at times so this should be considered. She can live with sensible, secondary age children that have been around dogs and will give her space when needed. She could potentially live with a calm, well adjusted, adult dog, subject to a successful meet at Mayhew. Lady has had a dental with some extractions, whilst at Mayhew. Her new owners will also need to ensure she is groomed regularly and be aware of the financial costs that could come with this. Lady has been microchipped, neutered, will have received her first vaccination and is up to date with flea & worming treatment. She has also been health checked and behaviourally assessed. Finnish Spitz crossbreed Black 5 Years (approx) Say hello to Mowgli, a cheerful, clever, and wonderfully friendly boy who’s been nothing short of a delight since arriving in our care. With his tail always wagging and nose to the ground, Mowgli absolutely loves life – and it shows in everything he does. Mowgli is a typical CollieFinnish Spitz mix: active, bright, a little quirky, and full of character. His favourite pastime is exploring the great outdoors, one blade of grass at a time! This boy takes his sniffing very seriously, so if you’re someone who enjoys relaxed but enriching walks where he can take his time investigating the world, Mowgli will be in his element. He’s also got a playful streak – especially when toys are involved. He’ll chase a ball with great enthusiasm… bringing it back, however, is still a work in progress! Mowgli is very intelligent and eager to please, and he’ll thrive in a home where he can continue his training and enjoy mental enrichment. As a typical collietype, Mowgli would do best in a calm, quiet home environment where he has space to settle and decompress. He does have a bit of a chase drive, particularly around moving vehicles, so he would be best suited to a less builtup area without fast or heavy traffic, where this can be safely managed and worked on through training. He’s very friendly with people and could live with children of any age, provided they can respect his space and understand his needs. This lovely boy has a heart as big as his personality and is ready to bring love, fun, and loyalty to his forever home.
