Herman

Not a breed you normally associate with us, but after taking on the most fabulous foster-parents who have a special love for collies, we agreed to take Herman recently as he had begun to show some guarding issues (guarding a new baby from his male owner). The family had tried behaviourists, but were advised to rehome Herman due to potential future worries around the baby when he became more mobile.Here is his foster-mum’s write-up….Herman is a 7yr neutered male, who is a lovely friendly boy even with strangers.He has a few quirks, will react to being touched if sleeping and isn’t great with dogs. However he’s not a generally reactive dog. He is fine walking near dogs and just isn’t good with actual interactions. He shows some positive signs sometimes but he’s not one that you’d want to be mixing with dogs in general unless muzzled and in a training scenario.He loves to play but is equally really chilled around the home.He’s looking for a home where he’ll be the only dog and with no chi...
