Holt

Holt arrived at Windyway in August 2022 when his owner's dementia reached a point where he could no longer manage Holt's care. Holt was born in 2014 so is a more mature boy - he's a mixed breed with some shepherd, maybe some husky as well. He has been used to having a happy-go -lucky life with no expectations - he often free roamed the neighbourhood and interacted well with people and dogs. In the kennels he was initially very stressed and guarded his kennel and there is still a little of this behaviour in him when going back into the kennel, he has been the gentleman's loyal and loving friend for 8 years so all this is very alien to him. He doesn't like being shut in so he has his door to his run left open for him at night. Out of the kennel he is a sweet boy. He does like to lean on you, and he enjoys being brushed. He never goes for other dogs but doesn't like cats and can be quite strong on the lead. Holt is up to date with vacs, flea and wormer, is neutered and chipped. He was a l...
