Yes Meet Lara — a beautiful, very special 4-year-old girl who has been through far more than she ever deserved. Lara was adopted as a tiny puppy in 2022 and went to a wonderful family who absolutely adored her. What nobody expected was just how much she would grow! Lara is now a very impressive 48kg, and is believed to possibly be an Akbash-type dog. Sadly, things changed last year following an incident where Lara became very excited and jumped up, accidentally scratching a visitor. The police became involved and a VCO (Voluntary Control Order) was put in place, with Lara’s family following the advice given, including walking her in a muzzle and harness. Her owner, a farmer with plenty of land, did everything he could to manage her safely and would take Lara out on quieter routes and at quieter times. Unfortunat...
