We have several rescues at PAWS that have been placed in long term foster homes. Some are needing regular medical care or have special needs which may include daily medication and monitoring. PAWS covers all costs for dogs and cats in long term foster for life.Skye is a Husky aged 12 years. She has been through it a bit, having to undergo 2 cruciate repairs and now suffering from Arthritis. She was surrendered to PAWS by her owner who had no choice due to ill health, but took an active part in ensuring her girl went to the perfect home. Skye has monthy injections of Librela to ease her pain and is currently having top-up painkillers as the Librela has started to be less effective. She is coping at present and our veterinary trustee sees her regularly to assess her pain management is in an excellent home and we love to see her at our shows and events locally.Dexter came to PAWS in a poor state.
