Atlas arrived with us through no fault of his own, he’s has missed out on some training and socialisation in his first year. With the help of his breeder we’ve had him fostered but sadly here he struggled to live with other pets and children. He was fostered with another dog but he started bullying them after a while, he was ok with the cats initially and then began hunting them. As he’s not reliable around other dogs, and a Husky, we would be prefer he had his own private garden for off-lead exercise. He will need an experienced adult-only home where he can learn boundaries and manners.

He lost his owner… and now he’s lost his home too. Bailey didn’t do anything wrong. The only thing that changed was that the person he loved sadly passed away. Now this older boy is in rescue, confused and waiting for someone who isn’t coming back. Bailey is a lovely, gentle soul who still has so much love left to give. He’s friendly with other dogs on and off lead, house trained, walks beautifully on a loose lead, travels well, and is used to being left for a few hours. He’s also been socialised with children aged 10+. He will chase cats and doesn’t have recall off lead, but what Bailey truly needs right now is simple — a safe home, a soft bed, and someone to love him again. He’s already lost everything once. Please don’t let him spend the rest of his days waiting in a kennel. Can you give Bailey the loving home he deserves for his golden years? Please apply online if you can help. Beau, a 5 years old male Siberian Husky available for adoption from Scottish SPCA in Scotland

Beau

BreedSiberian Husky

Beau is an amazing singer looking for a good home with Husky experience! Beau loves the sound of his own voice, as it is typical of his breed. He is a big boy, and can sometimes pull on the lead. Therefore, adopters will need to take his strength into account. For the most part, Beau is brilliant when out on walks, and he shows no sign of reactivity towards other dogs. He is also happy saying hello to strangers and meeting new people! He can be head shy, as he came into our care with really sore ears. Beau loves playing with toys, especially squeaky toys and stuffed animals. He will need a home with direct access to a garden, so some of his basic training can be furthered. Beau also howls when left by himself, so he is looking for owners who will be home most of the time. Beau could live with older kids, pending they are dog savvy and/or have been around larger breeds before. Beau is currently working on being less stubborn, as he takes a while to listen to commands. That is also typical of his breed, and he will eventually do as told - a couple of treats go a long way! Blue is a Siberian Husky. Born approx January 2022. Blue is a very handsome boy with the most stunning blue eyes.He is a very friendly boy and loves people. He doesn’t seem to have had much training but he is a very fast learner. We are working with him on his manners and teaching him not to jump up. He loves treats so training is relatively easy but he is a typical Husky and sometimes he will just do his own thing!Blue has lots of energy and loves to be outside to run around and play. He will bring his ball or toy back to you.He walks ok on his lead but will benefit from a harness. He is a strong boy so will need someone who can handle him. Blue is a typical stubborn Husky with a mind of his own so his new owners will need to have experience of the breed. If you are interested in Blue, please phone Gyll Mauchline (Between 9:00 and 17:00) on: 01778 424953 or 07708 589792. Bowie, a 11 years old male Siberian Husky available for adoption from Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home in Greater Manchester

Manchester and Cheshire Dogs Home

Bowie

Greater Manchester
SexMale
Age11 years
BreedSiberian Husky

This absolute gentleman is Bowie! Bowie is looking for a quiet retirement home where he can have some nice walks and then chill on the sofa. He is quite an independent dog who will do his own thing and then come over when he wants fuss and strokes. At this stage in his life he just wants lots of love and a warm fire that he can relax in front of. Bowie has socialised well with other dogs whilst in our care but wasn’t too sure about the more playful and boisterous ones. We feel Bowie would be best rehomed as the only dog in the home where he can 100% of the cuddles and attention. Bowie would love a private secure garden that he can potter about in.We are unsure how Bowie would react around cats.As Bowie came into the home as a stray we have no previous history on him so would prefer any children in the home to be 14+ years.*Applications that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge

Cali, a 4 years old female Siberian Husky available for adoption from Ashbourne Animal Welfare in Derbyshire

Ashbourne Animal Welfare

Cali

Derbyshire
SexFemale
Age4 years
BreedSiberian Husky

Cali is a young Husky crossbreed who originally came to us through no fault of her own… she came to us with her Sister, Who has since been rehomed. Sadly their owner realised that they had bitten off more than they could chew by taking on the Sisters as puppies, as well as already having 2 existing dogs and 3 cats in the home. Sadly Cali wasn’t receiving the time and attention that she needed and was spending a lot of the time in the kitchen – now that Cali had matured, she had taken a bit of a dislike to one of the smaller dogs and the cats.Cali is generally a friendly, sociable girl but can be a little wary of some new people initially… however once she knows you, she is your best friend! She’s always super excited to greet the staff and volunteers when they arrive! She’s a real cuddler! She’s definitely a favourite with some of the volunteers and even benefits from occasional outings to go and explore – where she has been impeccably behaved!Since she has been with us, we have worked on her training and she will now walk nicely on a lead wearing her head collar. She does seem quite clever, and keen to please…so continued training would be beneficial. She will need somebody with a lot of time to dedicate to her. Her time alone will need to be built up, as she’s always had company. She’s affectionate, and ‘smiles’ at people to say hello! We did rehome Cali but sadly she was returned. Cali has been known to display jealous and/or possessive tendencies around ‘her people’ which is why we think she would be suited to somebody who lives alone and can work with her one on one. We also believe that Cali would need to be the only pet in the home.
