Luca

Gentle giant Luca is a true gentleman - he's around 66kg of dog (think Shetland pony) and turned 8 years old in April '26. He is a Bucovina which is a Romanian Shepherding breed - Romanian Bucovina Shepherd Dogs are courageous working dogs with a soft spot for children. They have a calm, protective nature and are incredibly loyal to their human pack. He has never been called upon to work, only to be a companion. He has found himself in need of a new home due to his owner moving to accommodation where he isn't able to join her. He has been a pub dog all his life and is calm and gentle around all people and other animals. He is used to whiling away the hours in the bar being fed titbits and generally giving doggie cuddles to anyone who needs them, including small children. He does have some stiffness in his joints and is currently trialling some anti-inflammatories to see if they help him. Luca is neutered and chipped and has recently restarted his vaccinations.
