Are you right for Lumi?Lumi is a 1 year and 7 month old dog who will thrive with patient, understanding adopters who are willing to take things at her pace. She can feel worried and conflicted when meeting new people, so she needs calm, consistent handlers who can build her confidence through positive experiences. Lumi has moderate energy levels but is very strong on the lead, so adopters should be physically able and committed to ongoing training and lead work. She can be left alone for short periods of 1–4 hours, as long as this is built up gradually. Most importantly, Lumi’s new family must be able to commit to multiple visits to the centre, as she will need slow, carefully managed introductions to form a trusting bond.
