He is not looking for a “perfect dog” lifestyle filled with constant training plans and expectations. What Mags needs more than anything is to take a step back, slow everything down, and learn how to feel safe in the world again. Mags struggles with interactions around other dogs, because he has never had someone consistently guiding him and helping him feel secure. Too often, dogs like Maguire are expected to adapt quickly — to go straight out on walks, meet other dogs, and fit neatly into busy lives. That is not what Mags needs.
