Marmite

Marmite came to Foal Farm in May 2025 on his first birthday. He was in need of a rescue space after he had been found straying, he was very skinny and had a laceration on his neck which required immediate surgery. We had later found out that Marmite had been in a home since he was a pup and had been returned to the breeder a few weeks prior to him being found as a stray, it is unclear as to how and why he ended up in this position.His original home was not able to meet his needs and some behavioural issues came to surface. He was reactive to traffic and when feeling frustrated this led to him redirecting onto his owner. He was also very protective of his owner and he had shown aggression to their partner on various occassions. They felt they were unable to meet the needs of his breed and he needed more than they could offer, as he is a working dog and he needs a job.Lakeland Terriers are not for the faint hearted and Marmite is typical to his breed and their traits.
