MART Back to all Dogs ARCHIE 15th June 2024 ​ Archie will be 5 in July, he is a neutered male, French Bulldog who is being fostered in Tipton, West Midlands. He is around 14kg in weight. ​ Archie came into care at the end of May this year after we learned that his then owners had booked him in to be euthanized, because they couldn't afford the vet treatment he needed. They were also afraid to handle him, ​ We were told that they hadn't had him very long and that they had themselves, rescued him from an abusive situation. It's true that Archie was a hot mess when he arrived, both physically and mentally. Within the week he had much needed boas surgery which involved multiple procedures to enable him to breath. He was also neutered at the same time. He is now transforming into a totally different dog. Prior to these procedures, simply breathing took huge effort, with his tummy muscles heaving to enable air to be pulled into his lungs. Everything he ate and drank would be regurgitated mul...
