We are helping to find a home for Alfie who is a 4 year old Frenchie. Sadly his owner has become unwell and is not able to take care of him. Alfie is a really nice dog; he is very affectionate and loves lots of cuddles. He is good with children but not always with other dogs. Ideally he would be best suited to a quiet home as the only pet so he can get lots of fuss and attention. Alfie is a lovely boy who has found himself in our care through no fault of his own. He had only been with them for a short time, and we’re now focused on finding Alfie the stable, loving home he deserves.Alfie is a well-mannered boy who is fully house trained and can be left alone without distress, settling well, making him an easy companion to live with.He walks nicely on the lead and enjoys getting out and about, although recall isn’t his strong point at the moment, which may be linked to current ear discomfort. Alfie is currently being treated for a haematoma in one ear (which you can see in the pictures) and appears to have had a previous one in the other. We will subsidise any further treatment needed for his ears, and he has been very patient throughout his care.

Meet Amelie! Our vibrant and full of beans Frenchie X Bulldog!Amelie was brought to us as a stray, found wearing a bark collar without an ID tag, and her microchip provided no owner information. The bark collar was swiftly discarded!Being just a puppy, she is only starting out in life and needed to learn the basics. Amelie is highly intelligent and loves training! She has currently learnt quite a few exercises whilst in our care, including: sit, down, heel, wait, paw, turn & spin. Due to her young age and intelligence, she picks up new tricks super quickly, she is truly astonishing! She adores her toys & playing tug of war is her favourite game! She will make a wonderful addition for anyone looking for a young, energetic dog who is ready to start from scratch.

Are you right for Antoine?Antoine is a charming 6-year-old French Bulldog searching for a calm, adult-only, pet-free home where he can enjoy all the love and attention he deserves. He can be a little reserved with strangers, but with time, patience, and a calm approach, his affectionate and cheeky side shines through. Ant would thrive in a peaceful environment with minimal visitors, a predictable routine and a secure garden for off-lead playtime. Because he can be overwhelmed in busy places or around traffic, Antoine would prefer his home to be in a rural or suburban setting with quiet walking routes. He isn’t a high-energy dog and would be perfectly content with short strolls along the beach, followed by long, cosy snoozes on the sofa separated with his love of toy play. Antoine travels well in the car, which is ideal if needing to drive him a little further to reach a quieter walking spot. His adopters should be patient and willing to let him build trust at his own pace, with support from our training team to continue the positive progress he’s made.

I’m just feeling a lot of big emotions. Once I actually get to say hello, I settle right down and walk very nicely with my canine companions. I’ve socialised off lead in secure paddocks here, I’m actually quite an independent lady; I’m happy to let other dogs do their own thing while I focus on the important stuff, like sniffing every blade of grass and having a good roll in the dirt! At home I’d prefer to be the centre of attention, which is why I’d like to be the only dog.I’m a ‘busy bee’ by nature, so I’m looking for a home where we can stay active together. I love my toys—especially the soft ones—and I’m always up for a gentle game of tug or fetch. French Bulldog, 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and he was a proper little shit so needs an owner used to this type of dog.Write up UPDATED:This boy has come along so much from the badly behaved dog that arrived with us 2 months ago. He goes out on a daily basis with all the different dog walkers - that was an impossible job at the beginning. He now wants fuss and affection and lets you in to his "space". Don't get me wrong he does still have the odd day where he reverts back to demon dog but then he remembers that being good = rewards and good things.Bentley is definitely not for a novice dog owner but if you have had previous experience with dogs that like to get their own way and occasional temper tantrums and are up for a challenge then Bentley may be the dog for you.Personally I would say he would be better off as the only pet in the home as you don't want his bad habits rubbing off and also he could not be homed with another male dog as he is a bit hit and miss with them - seems to prefer the pretty girls He will need a home where he is going to get the love and attention he needs as well as the right amount of exercise, training and stimulation.He has obviously previously been shut away for hours in a small space which has caused his guarding of his space so maybe not go to a home where he will be left for long periods of time.Definitely no children under 8 years old, older or none preferred.Cats and other small furries are unknown and untested.When Bentley first came in to us:-Bentley has guarding issues with his "space" be it a crate, a kennel, his room basically anywhere that he is shut in or where he feels enclosed. Approaching that space he behaves like a rabid beast on crack but open the door, let him out and you are able to carry on the day as if nothing has happened so for a dog that has found himself stuck in the kennel system it is very hard.There is a very nice dog inside the little monster that we see most mornings. He goes out quite happily with the dog walkers without issue. He loves his toys especially stuffed ones that he can rip apart, the quicker the better. He loves his food and treats and takes them nicely.If you feel you are up for a challenge then this is the ideal dog for you. He will need a home where he is going to get the love and attention he needs as well as the right amount of exercise and stimulation. He has obviously previously been shut away for hours in a small space which has caused this hatred so maybe not go to a home where he will be left for long periods of time.Definitely no children under 8 years old, older or none preferred.Cats and other small furries are unknown and untested.A secure garden with minimum of 6ft fencing is required.

Celandine Wood

Sweet little Betsy has been with us a little while now whilst she got to know us, and we can determine what sort of home she needs. Betsy came to us after her owner was wanting her put to sleep after an incident occurred in the home with a visitor. We however believe that with the right owner, and home environment she will only flourish. Betsy is crate trained and is happy enough to take herself off to her crate when a situation gets too much for her. Betsy will will need a firm, confident owner who is prepared to put in boundaries within the home so she knows what’s expected of her, and that she can’t get away with things either. Given there have been a few incidents in the home Betsy will need a pet and child free home so 100% of the focus can be on Betsy and her further training. Within kennels, Betsy can still be nervous of meeting new people, but has started going out with more & more volunteers and growing in confidence around them. She’s an absolute sweetheart once she knows you and who loves her walks, and even more so her treats! Betsy is currently at our kennel facility in Wrexham

Are you right for Blue?Blue is a one-year-old French Bulldog full of character! He's a lively boy who is always up for a play with his toys and cuddling up on a lap. Blue is worried by young children but could share a home with secondary school aged who are confident around a dog that can be a bit boisterous at times. Blue struggles to know what to do around dogs and will often be very vocal at a distance but then able to say hello once up close. He needs to be the only pet in the home but would benefit from calm walking companions to help him socialise better. Blue would like some company all of the time initially, but once settled he'll be fine to have some leaving hours introduced gradually. A garden for him to enjoy is essential as he can be quite vigilant and sometimes worried out and about depending on how busy the area is.
