We are helping to find a home for Alfie who is a 4 year old Frenchie. Sadly his owner has become unwell and is not able to take care of him. Alfie is a really nice dog; he is very affectionate and loves lots of cuddles. He is good with children but not always with other dogs. Ideally he would be best suited to a quiet home as the only pet so he can get lots of fuss and attention. Please welcome Amber to the pack.Amber has come into our care from another kennels and is now looking to find her forever family.She is a 2.5 year old French Bulldog who is full of personality and play, who loves the affection from the team members here at the centreWe are still assessing Amber’s suitability to live with other dogs but so far Amber has been uninterested when passing other dogs and doesn’t mind the company of our other dogs on group walks.She is untested with cats and could be rehomed with children aged 12 years and older after successful meets.

When she first arrived, she needed veterinary care for some ear problems and general TLC, but despite everything she had been through, she has always been incredibly sweet and affectionate.We are so pleased to say that April has made a remarkable recovery and is now doing really well in foster care. Her ear problems have fully improved, and she is thriving with the love and attention she deserves. April is currently in a foster home in West London and is now looking for her forever home. She would love a home with direct access to a garden and owners who are around for most of the day to give her plenty of companionship. April would also prefer to be the only dog in the home, where she can enjoy all the love and attention to herself.

Just a warning: if you stop before I’m finished, I’ll let out a little vocal ‘hey!’ to remind you that I’m still here for more cuddles.When it comes to other dogs, I can be a bit of a ‘big talker.’ If I see a dog behind a fence or while I’m out on my lead, my hackles might go up and I might bark a bit—but don’t worry, I’m not being mean! I’m just feeling a lot of big emotions. Once I actually get to say hello, I settle right down and walk very nicely with my canine companions. I’ve socialised off lead in secure paddocks here, I’m actually quite an independent lady; I’m happy to let other dogs do their own thing while I focus on the important stuff, like sniffing every blade of grass and having a good roll in the dirt! At home I’d prefer to be the centre of attention, which is why I’d like to be the only dog.I’m a ‘busy bee’ by nature, so I’m looking for a home where we can stay active together. I love my toys—especially the soft ones—and I’m always up for a gentle game of tug or fetch. I’m a clever girl, too; I already know how to ‘sit,’ and I was a total star during my assessment, even when sharing my food and treats.My new home will need a secure garden where I can zoom around, and a family who has plenty of time for enrichment and play. Bella is a very nervous girl who needs to go home to a quiet and calm environment. She came into our care as a stray so we don’t have much background information on her. Due to this she will need a family that is patient and has the time to allow her to adjust to her new home. She will need to have multiple meets for her to get to know you well before she can go home. Bella enjoys snoozing in bed and playing with her teddies.Bella can walk near dogs well but does get overwhelmed quickly, so if she was to go home with a dog, it would have to be small and have a calm temperament to match hers. Due to Bella being nervous we think it would best for her to be around any children who are 16 years or older. Subject to a successful meet.We are unsure of how Bella will react around cats.If you have a holiday booked in the next 3 months please wait until you return to apply for a dog.*Applicants that are successful will be provided with further information on each dog to the best of the charity’s knowledge

French Bulldog, 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and he was a proper little shit so needs an owner used to this type of dog.Write up UPDATED:This boy has come along so much from the badly behaved dog that arrived with us back in September 2025. Don't get me wrong he can still be a little shit but he seems to be our little shit now and has accepted the staff and most of the volunteers as his people.Bentley is seeking a very experienced handler who will not take any of his nonsense. He has failed in several homes mainly because the advice given wasn't followed. 12 hours in a new home is not what this boy needs, it will take weeks for him to adjust and bond with his new person but once he does he has so much genuine love and affection to give - we see it here daily from him.He goes out on a daily basis with all the different dog walkers - that was an impossible job at the beginning. He now wants fuss and affection and lets you in to his "space". Don't get me wrong he does still have the odd day where he reverts back to demon dog but then he remembers that being good = rewards and good things.Bentley is definitely not for a novice dog owner but if you have had previous experience with dogs that like to get their own way and occasional temper tantrums and are up for a challenge then Bentley may be the dog for you.Personally I would say he would be better off as the only pet in the home as you don't want his bad habits rubbing off and also he could not be homed with another male dog as he is a bit hit and miss with them - seems to prefer the pretty girls He will need a home where he is going to get the love and attention he needs (in time) as well as the right amount of exercise, training and stimulation.He has obviously previously been shut away for hours in a small space which has caused his guarding of his space so maybe not go to a home where he will be left for long periods of time and no crates.Definitely no children under 16 years old, older or none preferred.Cats and other small furries are unknown and untested.A secure garden with adequate height fencing is a must.When Bentley first came in to us:-Bentley has guarding issues with his "space" be it a crate, a kennel, his room basically anywhere that he is shut in or where he feels enclosed. Approaching that space he behaves like a rabid beast on crack but open the door, let him out and you are able to carry on the day as if nothing has happened so for a dog that has found himself stuck in the kennel system it is very hard.There is a very nice dog inside the little monster that we see most mornings. He goes out quite happily with the dog walkers without issue. He loves his toys especially stuffed ones that he can rip apart, the quicker the better. He loves his food and treats and takes them nicely.If you feel you are up for a challenge then this is the ideal dog for you. He will need a home where he is going to get the love and attention he needs as well as the right amount of exercise and stimulation. He has obviously previously been shut away for hours in a small space which has caused this hatred so maybe not go to a home where he will be left for long periods of time.

Celandine Wood

Sweet little Betsy has been with us a little while now whilst she got to know us, and we can determine what sort of home she needs. Betsy came to us after her owner was wanting her put to sleep after an incident occurred in the home with a visitor. We however believe that with the right owner, and home environment she will only flourish. Betsy is crate trained and is happy enough to take herself off to her crate when a situation gets too much for her. Betsy will will need a firm, confident owner who is prepared to put in boundaries within the home so she knows what’s expected of her, and that she can’t get away with things either. Given there have been a few incidents in the home Betsy will need a pet and child free home so 100% of the focus can be on Betsy and her further training. Within kennels, Betsy can still be nervous of meeting new people, but has started going out with more & more volunteers and growing in confidence around them. She’s an absolute sweetheart once she knows you and who loves her walks, and even more so her treats! Betsy is currently at our kennel facility in Wrexham
