French Bulldog, 4 years old, neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and he was a proper little shit so needs an owner used to this type of dog.New Update:BENTLEY seems to like being the resident dog which is such a shame as we would dearly love to see him in his forever home after 12 months of being with us.Anyone who follows our kennels or volunteers for us will know what a twat this dog has been and just how far he come along from day 1 to now - he has been hard work and very testing at times.He has been to 2 "experienced" homes but never lasted more than 24 hours so we would much rather keep him with us all the time he is happy rather than have him messed around.Bentley is now bonding with pretty much all of the volunteers and he only sees the person in the video once a week so this is just how much progress Bentley has made.For a new person in a home it will be baby steps and patience but the end result will be what you see in the video.MUST be the only pet in the home and no young children.Write up UPDATED:This boy has come along so much from the badly behaved dog that arrived with us back in September 2025. Don't get me wrong he can still be a little shit but he seems to be our little shit now and has accepted the staff and most of the volunteers as his people.Bentley is seeking a very experienced handler who will not take any of his nonsense. He has failed in several homes mainly because the advice given wasn't followed. 12 hours in a new home is not what this boy needs, it will take weeks for him to adjust and bond with his new person but once he does he has so much genuine love and affection to give - we see it here daily from him.He goes out on a daily basis with all the different dog walkers - that was an impossible job at the beginning. He now wants fuss and affection and lets you in to his "space". Don't get me wrong he does still have the odd day where he reverts back to demon dog but then he remembers that being good = rewards and good things.Bentley is definitely not for a novice dog owner but if you have had previous experience with dogs that like to get their own way and occasional temper tantrums and are up for a challenge then Bentley may be the dog for you.Personally I would say he would be better off as the only pet in the home as you don't want his bad habits rubbing off and also he could not be homed with another male dog as he is a bit hit and miss with them - seems to prefer the pretty girls He will need a home where he is going to get the love and attention he needs (in time) as well as the right amount of exercise, training and stimulation.He has obviously previously been shut away for hours in a small space which has caused his guarding of his space so maybe not go to a home where he will be left for long periods of time and no crates.Definitely no children under 16 years old, older or none preferred.Cats and other small furries are unknown and untested.A secure garden with adequate height fencing is a must.When Bentley first came in to us:-Bentley has guarding issues with his "space" be it a crate, a kennel, his room basically anywhere that he is shut in or where he feels enclosed. Approaching that space he behaves like a rabid beast on crack but open the door, let him out and you are able to carry on the day as if nothing has happened so for a dog that has found himself stuck in the kennel system it is very hard.There is a very nice dog inside the little monster that we see most mornings. He goes out quite happily with the dog walkers without issue. He loves his toys especially stuffed ones that he can rip apart, the quicker the better. He loves his food and treats and takes them nicely.If you feel you are up for a challenge then this is the ideal dog for you. He will need a home where he is going to get the love and attention he needs as well as the right amount of exercise and stimulation. He has obviously previously been shut away for hours in a small space which has caused this hatred so maybe not go to a home where he will be left for long periods of time.

Meet Bingo!This handsome young chap has come into our care due to a change in his family’s circumstances. He has clearly been much loved and has had a wonderful start in life, and now we’re looking for a new family to help him continue his journey.Bingo is a fun-loving, bouncy puppy with endless enthusiasm for life. He has so much love to give and is guaranteed to bring plenty of laughter and adventure to his forever home. Like many young dogs, he’s still learning his manners and would benefit from continued training, particularly when it comes to walking nicely on the lead and building his confidence and social skills around other dogs. He simply gets very excited about everything!We feel Bingo would be happiest as the only dog in the home and is looking for a cat-free household. Having previously lived with children, we would consider a home with children aged 10 and over, subject to successful introductions at the centre.As Bingo has only been with us for a few days, he’s finding kennel life a little overwhelming, and we’re still getting to know him. He would make a lovely addition to a family home.Biscoff could live with primary aged children in his new home, that can give him time to settle but also be involved in his day to day care.Biscoff also has the potential to live with another dog in the home, pending meets at the centre. The resident dog would need to of lived with a dog before. However, he would be unable to live with cats or small animals.Flat faced (brachycephalic) dogs suffer from additional health problems, which may impact their quality of life. We always recommend anyone thinking about adopting or buying a flat faced (brachycephalic) dog to thoroughly research the breed beforehand. Our expert team will be able to give you tips on exercise and weight management and advice on any support Biscoff may need going forward.

Foal Farm

Meet our special lad Buddy. This handsome boy first came to Foal in June 2020, since then he has been in a couple of foster homes and he was in another home for nearly 18 months. He has always been a quirky boy and unfortunately has shown aggression which is why he has been returned.Buddy is by no means an easy boy but he has been with us for so long now and we do feel that we understand him and know his triggers. Any adopters would need to undergo introductions for a long time to get to know him and follow our guidance.It can take time to gain Buddy’s trust but he is a real character once you know him. He is playful, wants to please and enjoys training and he can be very affectionate.Out and about Buddy can be reactive towards both people and dogs but he has come on leaps and bounds and responds to training well. He is an anxious boy so we are also working with him to feel better about his anxieties and gain more confidence. He even has a few doggy friends that he enjoys to walk with.Previously Buddy has not coped with visitors to the home and is reactive towards them. He does guard his own space, therefore needs a hands off approach within the home.We are seeking an experienced adult only home for Buddy. He needs a quiet home with ideally one person but two at a maximum. With boundaries, clear guidance and consistency we do believe that he could settle in a home within the real world.
