Hi there! My name is Bear, and I’m a 4-year-old Lhasa Apso x Cockapoo… but most people just say I’m a very cute fluffy boy (and I’m not going to argue with that!).I’m here looking for my forever home, and I’m hoping it might be with you. Let me tell you a little bit about myself!First things first… I LOVE attention. If you’ve got hands for fuss, cuddles, and head scratches, we’re going to get along just fine. I’m also a bit of a kissing expert and like to give lots of little kisses to the humans who look after me. It’s my way of saying thank you for loving me!I’m also a good boy out on walks. I enjoy getting out and exploring the world, and I don’t pull too much on the lead, which makes walkies nice and relaxed for both of us. Fresh air, sniffing adventures, and spending time with my humans are some of my favourite things. In my previous home I lived with a female dog, so it’s possible I could live with another dog again after some careful introductions. The people looking after me are still learning more about me, so they’ll update my profile once I’ve had a proper dog test. One thing I do know about myself is that cats aren’t really my thing… I like to bark at them, so a cat-free home would be best for me.I’ve also lived with children before, so I could be happy in a family home. That said, I could also suit a quieter household too. Sometimes I can be a little bit giddy and a little bit anxious, so I’m really looking for a loving, patient family who will help me feel safe and settled while I find my paws again. What I promise in return is lots of love, lots of kisses, and a very loyal little companion who will always be happy to see you.If you think you might have the perfect sofa, plenty of cuddles, and a forever home for a little bear like me, I’d love to meet you.My adoption fee is £350.Love and tail wags,Bear

Male11 years oldArrived 5th February (47 days ago)Being looked after by RSPCA Chesterfield rehoming centerLog number : 01712170We realise not everyone is in a position to adopt a companion, so why not take a look at our virtual adoption scheme …..Patiently awaiting rescueDexter is one of our dogs for which we cover boarding and vet bills while being cared for at the Chesterfield Rehoming Centre. He requires neutering and some dental work which we’ll be arranging prior to adoption. He came in with three dogs, severely matted coats, they had to be completely shaved under general anaesthetic. Sadly a Stafford Bull Terrier had to be put to sleep due to poor quality of life with a severe bladder tumour.Dexter is a very friendly dog and will make a really lovely companion.A sad background : The owner that signed them over was an elderly lady who lived alone. She’s had the dogs since September last year when she took them in after the sad death of her adult son. They haven’t been around children by the sounds of it but have lived with two cats. There was mess in the property when we attended but they had been left alone for at least four days while the owner was in hospital; there was also bagged dog mess so in the living room so we suspect they hadn’t been getting out to toilet – however, we believe that was more because of the owners frailty than anything else. For more information about him and to complete an online application form please go here:https://chesterfield-rspca.org.uk/dexter/

Are you right for Jim?Jim is an 8 year-old Lhasa Apso. He came into our care as a stray but is currently enjoying his time in a wonderful foster home. He will happily jump up on the sofa next to you for a gentle fuss. He loves to trot around on walks and take in the scenery when out and about and walks lovely on lead. He is on the search for his furever home with older secondary or above aged children and would like to be the only pet in the home.
