Maximus

Maximus is a German Shepherd based at Battersea Old Windsor.When Maximus first arrived here he was very nervous and withdrawn. With time and patience he has started to come out of his shell and has made friends with some of the staff here, however, he is still nervous around new people and situations. Maximus could live with teenagers that are able to read his body language and give him space while he settles into his new home. He can also be worried by meeting other dogs, and his new family will need to socialise him with calm, steady dogs that will help to build his confidence. He really enjoys walks in quiet locations like woodland areas, but due to his worries around new people and dogs he will be needing a private secure garden.Maximus came to us very underweight and subsequently has a big appetite for food.
