Meet Mercy (34kg)! When this lovely girl first came into our care, she was extremely scared and completely shut down. It has taken time, patience and a lot of reassurance, but she has slowly started to come out of her shell, and we are so pleased with the progress she has made. With people she knows and trusts, she is a very sweet, affectionate and playful girl. She enjoys attention and loves having fun. Seeing her personality beginning to shine through has been incredibly rewarding. However, she is still very unsure and nervous around new people, and this is something her new family will need to understand and be prepared to work on. She will need someone who can continue building her confidence at her own pace, using patience, consistency and positive experiences to help her feel safe and secure.
