Millie is a lovely hound who is searching for a patient and understanding home. Unfortunately, she was found as a stray, so we have very limited information about her history. Because of this, we don’t know whether she has ever experienced life in a home environment before. A new home may feel overwhelming at first, and Millie will need adopters who can give her the time and space she needs to settle in at her own pace. Building trust and confidence won’t happen overnight, but with kindness, consistency, and patience, we believe Millie will flourish and show her wonderful personality. Millie is looking for a family who understands that some dogs need a little extra support as they adjust to a completely new way of life. Simple things that many dogs take for granted, such as household noises, routines, or being left alone, may be unfamiliar to her, so her adopters should be prepared to guide her gently through these experiences.
